I just upgraded my 1998-2001 iMac G3 slot loading in blue. 80GB HDD, dual 512x2 so a gig ram, and I popped in the OS 10.3 Panther disc and held C. There is not mac face and question mark, it goes strait to white screen with an apple. Below the apple the icon starts to spin as it means its loading.
Heres the problem, it sits and sits and sits with the spinning icon. I let it sit for about an hour held the c key for about ten to twenty minutes then stopped. I repeated two to three times with nothing changing. The hard drive is on master, and I do get a bong at start up. The disc drive spins and sounds like its reading for about ten minutes then the noises and spinning stops.
This is my first mac and I loved it before upgrade. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
