I'm unsure if this is iTunes doing this, but music in my iTunes folder keeps getting deleted, the album folder's and all remain as do the artwork. The mp3 file's though have completly dissapeared. They aren't in the recycle bin, i used spotlight to try and locate them, nothing. It's only started to happen in the past two days. Sometime's it's entire album's, other time's just song's. Mostly it's the entire album.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Usually, this only happens when the original file has been moved. The entries in your iTunes Library in iTunes.app are only alias'.

Do you have a tick next to the options that are in the image below?

Both of those are ticked.
The music is in the music folder on the hardrive.
Unders MacintoshHD/Users/home/music/itunes/itunes music/(artist)

The songs that have disappeared were in there, they haven't been moved at all. They are just gone, and i didn't delete them, spotlight can't find them anywhere on the hard-drive. I have listened to some of the songs a week ago, they are just gone.
