this might be quite a noob question, and apologies if i should have put this in the 'games' forum (i couldn't decide where it should go).
i have been playing an online game called armagetron advanced for many months now with no issues.
i'm using a 17" imac 1 GHz G4 running osx 10.3.9 with 512 mb DDR SDRAM. recently my ping in this game has more than trebled, making it basically unplayable. i'm using an broadband airport connection, and always have been.
similarly my fps for this game is getting very low, making it very hard to follow. things appear that you didn't even see coming. i can only assume that this is a RAM issue of some kind, but i might be way off.
since i started playing this game i have changed nothing in my computer or internet set-up so any ideas as to what is causing these problems would be greatly appreciated
