i accidentally saved over an important .PNG, and im really really hoping theres some way i can get it back without completely redoing it. ive tried going into 'file > revert to > browse all versions' in the preview, but when i did that no previous versions showed up at all. i dont have time machine either yet, is there ANY other methods i can try ??
Is there any way to recover a saved over PNG file ?

Hello and welcome.
It sounds like you have tried everything we would suggest. If you don't have a Time Machine or other backup, and it doesn't show in previous versions in Preview, then I am afraid it may be lost.
