I seek **one** thing: If I could just boot from CD or get to my data, that'd be a nice first step....
But now... my olf PowerBook (10.4) does not startup further than the monochrome window with Apple's logo and a "loading" icon. After a while, there's not even an Apple logo or icon, only my mouse's arrow.
I tried:
- Pressing C while booting with the CD, but it didn't boot from the CD. It actually ejected the CD. Am I doing anything wrong?
- Getting to the install from the CD - it's the only thing that worked. But I'd lose all my data right??
- Finding some "SAFE MODE" - not too sure where that'd be.
- Booting with and without the mouse connected (it worked once in the past when it bugged seriously).
