My wife had uploaded about 500 pics to iPhoto and then noticed that they are not arrainged how she expected, she would like to be able to arrainge them to her needs - These are of our child from birth to 5 months and when they were upoaded they are all scattered, she would like to be able to start from birth to 5 Months and create a DVD for Family for Christmas (She likes to start early) Is there a easy way to do this instead of deleting the Folder and renaming them all like 001 - 500 and importing them again?

No sure what version you have but there are many different ways to sort your photos.
Events can be split and merged, Faces and Places are great, and there Keywording and Titles, or make albums and drag and drop them into the order you want.

It does pay to actually try and learn about the software you are using.

Thank you very much, I think the New Folder and dragging will be great
