iPhone 5 re-boots constantly

My iPhone 5 won't 'come on' -- it simply re-starts re-booting any time I start it up. I've used the iPhone app, plugging in to iTunes, and have tried both 'Update and 'Restore' but neither bring it up. The Apple Genius said there was no hope for it, but perhaps someone on this site has a clever idea.

Thanks!

Hello,

Normally, if restoring the iPhone doesn't fix the issue, then it is a hardware fault and the iPhone needs replacement. If the Apple Genius stated that, then they probably tried all the known fixes.

That said, you can read the the article iPhone Stuck On Apple Logo? Here’s The Real Fix. and try the DFU Restore Your iPhone as a last resort. They probably already tried that however, so it probably is time for a replacement/upgrade.

Hope that helps,

C
