Get text from iPhone to MacBook PRO

I have an iPhone 5s running 12.0.1 and a Mac Book Pro (10.14.1). I used to get the texts from the iPhone displayed on the Pro, but all of sudden I'm not. Frankly, I don't know how they originally appeared, so I am at a loss at getting them again. We get emails on both machines.

How do I get texts?
