How do I forward text messages?

I have my Mac set up to get all of the text messages that my iPhone and iPad get. I rarely answer messages with those devices, preferring a full-size keyboard.

Sometimes someone will text me when they meant to text my wife. How do I forward those texts to her?

Do you need to do this on your Mac? If you, you should be able to use your EMail program to forward the file to your wife. (I am assuming the text message arrives on your Mac as a Text document. Is that correct?). It of course will be an attachment to the EMail, but that should work.

It arrives at my Mac in the Messages app.
