invalid leaf record count

G4, OS 10.4.6 Having problems. Could not get it to print. Re-installed 10.2 from original disks. Can print now but unable to up-date to 10.2.8. Using original disk
to start up and used Disk Utility repair disk to check hard drive.

Not repaired. Reported as "INVALID LEAF RECORD COUNT (it should be 6 instead of 58)" how can this be fixed?

Hi there and welcome !

Personally I would recommend Disk Warrior, this will fix most problems like this !

You could try reformatting and then reinstalling OS X again...

Unfortunately it can also be the sign of a disk on it's way out !
