iMac mid 2010 freeze

I opened my machine this is the HDD inside Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200.12. I tried to upload a pic but I don't get the option to upload a thumbnail? Anyway, all I need to know is, if I buy the same HDD then it's just a matter of replacing the same connections. or am I wrong? Thanks.
