To try them, compile them, then save them as an Application...then drag them to the dock, then you should have one to change it one way and one to change it the other way, if you see what I mean !

The chance are it may need some tweaking let me know !

Hi Ric

I tried both scripts directly from the script editor and as a program. I got the same result with an error message. (see attachment)

The sytem preferences panel did open in whatever condition I left the sound panel last time I used it. After that the process stopped with the error message.

Here you can see my universal access panel.
The checkmark in the left bottom corner translates to "Enable access for assistive devices". According to Apple Knowledge Base that means GUI scripting enabled.
Am I missing something here?

Just trying to catch up after the Holidays !

No you're not missing anything if that's whats selected, then GUI scripting is enabled.

Have you got any further...
