How to switch uses of duel hard drive on the Mac Mini?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought the Mac Mini 2011 with duel 500 GB hard drives. I am new to Apple OS, I want to know how to utilize both hard drives. Currently, my main hard drive is full, I want to use the second hard drive but I don't know to switch over to that hard drive. Is their anyway of doing this?

bit confused what you mean?

In Finder Preferences > General > Show these items on the desktop, tick Hard disks.

When you are saving files use the other drive.
