how to find deleted programs?

I am a new MAC user and my kids have deleted (I think) a program called I-Movies.

How can I reinstate or reinstall the program. It isn't in the trash file.

Hi Greg & welcome to the forums

Try searching for it in the applications folder and if you have Mac OS 10.4 or later ... try using Spotlight to find it.

Otherwise, if it's def gone ... it'll be on your Macs Installation Disc or it's possible if you tell me the iMovie version or Mac OS X or iLife version you have, if applicable, and I'll check for a download link either on Apple's webbie or elsewhere
