How can i recover iphone messages on mac?

I lost my iphone messages by accident, i have a itunes backup file on my mac. How can i recover lost iphone messges on mac? Thanks.

Hi,

Have you backed up your iPhone since you deleted the messages, if so I feel they are gone.

If not then connect your iphone to itunes, and restore from your last backup.

Having said this there is 3rd party recovery software but I have never used it.
