Which version of OS X/macOS? Recent versions actually have the Maps application installed, which uses Apple's latest map technology. You can see Map/Transit/Satellite views of the maps, and get/print directions, as well as 3D views, pins, traffic, etc. It is every bit as good as Google Maps or MapQuest in my opinion.
