I'M sure I have a virus in my macbook pro.
It behaves like a PC virus with redirections and the like.
Where does it hide and how do I get rid of it?

Hears a free checker, use it to see if you have one first.

ClamXav is a free virus checker for Mac OS X. It uses the tried, tested and very popular ClamAV open source antivirus engine as a back end.

I had a few phishing emails only.
My problem stems from the browser being redirected by surveys.cnet.com
It stops the browser loading the page I want.
Not all pages are affected.

There all kinds of hijackers that can function on a Mac, try disabling JavaScript, if that doesn't work try http://applejack.sourceforge.net/, it's a pretty neat little program. Aside from that, knowing what the website is that you are trying to visit is would help.
