Headphone Jack

Mac 10.13.6 imac 2010. Can play music in itunes through the Head phones but anything else like utube only silence although voloume is full. In Sound Preferences I have "Headphone Port" selected. Any ideas or how I could reset things?

-Which brand/model are the headphones?
-I assume they are corded and not Bluetooth, since you mentioned Headphone Port?
-Can you hear alert sounds through the headphones?
-How are you accessing YouTube - via Safari, Chrome, etc?

Cheap pair, but they were working before I messed about with Screenflick trying to record audio. I have reset Preferences to headphone port.
Yes, wired.
No can't hear alarms.
Using Safari.
Can hear iTunes no problem.

Using Safari I could not hear Internal speakers so switched to Chrome. Ear phones & Speakers worked fine, switched back to Safari.....everything back to normal. Very strange.
