garage band and more ram!

two questions.. I have had an Ibook G4 for a year now so I am some what familiar with it.... with that said

#1. garage band won't open because it tells me that I don't have a proper library or something like that... I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, not from ilife, but from my mac restore software. I have no clue what to do. I think it all happened when I tried to download some trial loops from the apple page.

#2. where can I buy some more ram probably 512 for my mac, and can I install it myself??

Hi.
1. You could try tossing the garageband preferences file in the trash (com.apple.garageband.plist). That may resolve the not launching issue.
2. RAM.

But you can probably pick up the right spec from just about anywhere. Self install if your Mac is out of warranty and your happy to disassemble it. Instructions Here.
