distorted display

I am new here and having a problem with MAC G4 Quicksilver.
MAC OX 10.3
It was 10.4 but had a probalem with one the the user accounts.
The display was distorted - washed out colors and resolution.
This is my main admin account. All pics and songs reside there.
I went to the Apple store and they told me to archive and reinstall - I did. Now the OS is 10.3. Howver the problem still remains.
Do you have any suggestions?

Have you got a 10.4 disk ?

have you got access to another monitor to try ?

I fiured it out . The Apple Genius wasn't a gernius and gave me bad info.
Turned out to eb a distrorted setting in universal acces.
