Connecting to WiFi on iPhone

Recently I am experiencing an odd problem with my iPhone4: when I try to update apps I get a message saying the app is over 20mg and connect to WiFi to download. But I am connected to my WiFi and am also on 3G. I check in Settings to make sure I'm connected to WiFi.But the download does not take place. What gives?

Seems like an interesting bug. Turn 3G off to update the apps, and turn it back on once done. Make sure you are running the latest iOS.
