Bookmarks

I recently installed Mavericks on my iMac and now I have I don't know how many bookmarks for Google. When I try to edit and delete them my computer freezes up. Can anyone help with this?

Which browser are you using?
Also If you labeled a Google Bookmark with multiple labels, it will show up in all the corresponding submenus you have.

I am an old Grandma and may not always know what everything is. I am using Safari and not sure what you mean by the rest. I don't know if I explained my problem correctly. When I view my bookmarks it shows a bunch - really can't even see how many - labeled Google Talk. I have several gmail logins. Is this where the bookmarks are coming from?

Old and wise I suspect, just follow my screen shots.

I don't use Google Talk but can't see why you would be getting multiple bookmarks as this is something you have to create yourself by adding them. Unless someone else is using your Mac and account.

1) Screen shot 1 ( Just click them to view full screen ) shows you how to access your bookmarks just open Safari and click the little book.
2) Once done as screen shot 2 shows all your bookmarks will open in a grey box on the left of the screen.
3) To delete a bookmark right click it and choose delete from the drop down option box as my screen shot 3.

Not sure about the wise part - at least when it comes to computers. I have been doing that and still have a gazillion left to do. I was just hoping I could find out what is creating them. I know there is no one else using my computer and account. Thank you for trying.

But follow my post above re deleting and tell us if the Mac still freezes.
