bluetooth issues

Hi guys, my wife and i both have 2.0ghz macbooks running 10.5.4 with 2gb ram. We are having real issues connecting via bluetooth. the comps can see each other and can connect to other devices but when we try to send a file to each other, we either get:

cannot connect to...

or

device doesn't have necessary services


My wife seems to be able to get into my drop box, but when I try to access hers I get the 2nd message above.

Any ideas?

Under System preferences > Sharing, do you both have Bluetooth Sharing checked?

My wife's wasn't but now we have turned it on, the same error messages are still being delivered?!?
