I have a G4 iBook running 10.4.8 which has worked well for the last year. Last week, I turned it on and it went to a black screen with the prompt:
Darwin/ BSD(my name-3.loca) (console)
login:
I have no idea how to get around this. It seems to have brought me to a deeper layer of the OS . Hitting return only re-prompts for the login.
Any ideas?
