MacBook Pro Black Screen

Hi,

My MacBook Pro (retina mid 2012) worked fine, until it once ran out of battery, so I plugged it, when it booted back up the screen was black with no backlight (the apple in the back of the screen is not lit).

I don't know what to do, I already tried to reset the SMC and the PRAM, but nothing worked.

I connected an external monitor, so it's not the GPU.
The system informations tells me the screen is connected, so I'm hoping it's only a software issue...

Did you try to recharge the battery? Also, there are some free tools you can use to check out the battery. One of them is Coconut Battery, available from here:

Also, although it will (most likely) not help with your current issue, Apple last week released V10.3.6 of High Sierra. You can get the OS 10.13.6 Combo Updater from here:
