I have had my MacBook Pro for just over a year and it was brand new when I got it. Recently, it has started having sudden blackouts while I'm working. The computer doesn't shut down, but seems to freeze, and the screen goes black. If I'm playing music, the music will skip repeatedly until I force the computer to shut itself down.
This has become very inconvenient and worrisome. Sometimes it does this up to three times a day; sometimes it won't do it for weeks. I'm probably going to take it in, but I was hoping somebody could tell me what's wrong.
I've tried everything. It doesn't matter if I'm running six programs or one; it doesn't matter if the computer's overheated or isn't. This is just really frustrating and always comes out of nowhere and I can't use my computer anymore without worrying that it's about to black out on me.
