Im on a new Mac that is 8g RAM, ripping to a 1tB external HDD. Im using Winx DVD ripper - is it just me or is this software complete crap? It takes HOURS to rip anything - for example, I ripped a 1.5hr DVD overnight and the next morning it was only halfway through?????? Is this a setting issue, or can someone recommend another programme? Thanks for your help!

Well, in looking at the results of a google search of "mac software for ripping dvds", the two best are Mac DVD Ripper Pro (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/31118/mac-dvdripper-pro), and Handbrake (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/12987/handbrake). I've used Handbrake in the past, and it is a good product.

If you are willing to invest the money, another good product which I have used on and off for quite a few years is Toast Titanium. I rarely do any ripping anymore, but when I did, Toast never gave me any issues.
