Hopefully someone out there will be able to help..... Just got hold of an Asante Micro adaptor to connect my G5 imac (running OS Tiger 10.4) to my old but stalwart HP 5mp Laserjet.
have downloaded the instruction manual, opened 'printer utility', activated 'Appletalk' on the ethernet port and tried to add the printer via pop up menu but all I get is an error message stating to the effect that this has bee unsuccessful.
Bearing in mind that I am old and kinda thick regards computer "things" is there anyone out there who could take me through the steps to get this up and running.
I'd be very very grateful for all and any assistance.
