The only issue I can see arising is any email restrictions from your ISP when sending from your GMail account.

I know AOL can be difficult in that, if it has not got your (e-mail address removed) in the send box, it may not send.

Receiving should not be an issue though.

i had to enable forward pop with gmail
and the sequence was slightly different but it all works
thanks for the link

the only thing is i am so spoiled by gmails grouping of emails im now going to have to get used to loose emails again
