SOLVED Apple id

Trying to erase an iPhone 4. with my old Apple id. When I click "forgot Password" it asks for my account. It then says the account does not exist. When I try to create a new account using the same email address it say "we've run into a problem, please tray again later". What's going on?

It may be best to verify the Apple ID at: Apple ID - Manage Your Account

Also, was that Apple ID the one used on the iPhone 4?

Got hold of Apple and they were very good. Unlocked the iphone 4 for me so it's as a new phone now.
