Apple id password is not accepted after fresh install of Yosemite

I was unable to reinstall El Capitan on my 2009 iMac. I made a usb install of Yosemite but now my apple id password is not accepted. I even tried the old password, with the same results. Any help is appreciated .

Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do to help, as Apple has VERY stringent security protocols. The best thing would be to check this website and follow the directions: iForgot - Apple ID

You can reset your Apple ID password in a few ways.
