Administrator Help !

HELLO :)

I have a MAC OS X . 10.5 VERSION
(Y)

I put in the 1st disc went to utilities put in the new password clue etc..
but when i clicked 'SAVE!' it said something like this :

password could not be saved to disc because of something, & yet i still have thesame problem of not being able to install stuff: I don't remember my username nor my password omg help!

Since you have the original installation disk, you can easily boot from it. Then once your Mac starts, look at the menu bar to "reset password." You'll be able to do that and get a new password assigned.

It might also be a good idea to upgrade your OS X to the latest, 10.5.2.

but it still didn't help ..

things i've tried:
1. put in the disc, applications-utilities-reset password= quit unexpectedly - - ''
2. pressed the c key. menu bar-reset password= CANNOT BE SAVED TO DISC! -- ''



PS. sounds stupid.. i have no idea how to upgrade it ..
