Wireless Headphone Help

I have always used on the ear wired headphones but now I have new BEATS SOLO3 wireless.
My problem is that while using these wireless headphones there is still sound coming out of the Macbook Air speakers.
This is no good!

LOL there are other people in the house (wife)

In 'System Preferences' > 'Sound' you should be able to mute the speakers and leave the headphones active.
