windows media player help

I have downloaded the windows media installer and expanded it with the stuffit program. Now when I try to run the installer I get a message that the application cannot be opened because it "is not supported on this architecture." I have OS X and have downloaded the appropriate version of the player. What do I do now?

Hello, I just got done installing Windows Media Player on my Intel iMac 10.5.3 and it's working perfectly. Here is the installer that I used. Let me know how it goes. I'll leave it up here for a week or so.
