I like the idea, but am skeptical about the software because, according to activity monitor, nothing is taking up that much RAM or CPU power.
And the audio programs DO have upgrades that would work with a newer OS but I honestly can't afford it. They're quite expensive to upgrade to the latest versions (primarily Pro Tools and Ableton Live).
Since my last post, (actually about a day after) the temp shot back up, but it doesn't seem to be as much of a problem as it was before. Though the CPU does sometimes (but less often it seems like) still clock down.
