Hello there,
i was cleaning up my files to clear some space for storage that i found out i have 2 photos folder:-
1) iPhoto Library
2) Photos Library

(screen shot as attached)

I looked into it, most of the pic are duplicated but looking at the size of the folder, some are definately not.
1) How do i have just one folder with all my pic in it?
2) is if safe to delete one of the folder? how do i know which one?

Please help. Thanks

Hello and welcome.

There are two libraries, because Photos replaced iPhoto, and when you initially opened Photos, it made a new Photos Library when it upgraded your iPhoto Library.

If you have an external HD, you could move the iPhoto Library to it and use the new Photos Library with the Photos app. The only way to tell if all of the photos made the transition, is to manually compare them using iPhoto and Photos.
