Hi I keep folders of small images i see on the internet for both reference, and also to help me search for public domain larger/better quality images of such, across many archives and internet resources.
and it is strange that going a long a line of images, right-clicking and downloading, that I often get results. many come though as Jpegs, a few as PNG, and severa as .webp files, and occasionally as .html text files. that later two I can often edet the postfix to Jpeg and on occasionas that will work and change the file to Jpeg.
but occasional NOT. and all the more curiouser, is that when I go back and look at the HTML code it is linked to an actual Jpeg file. (the Armstrong image one was the same file downloaded twice, when I got distracted and forget where i was up to. distracted by shiney things.)
so one of life great .. and mysteries of what goes on inside a mac.
regards, Sandy
