I mainly use Firefox as my browser, and the history clean-up options are very rudimentary. I can only clean up based on time-related metrics, such as "yesterday" or "one week ago". I'd rather be able to do a cleanup based on filtered contents. For example, I do a lot of map viewing using Google maps, and each time I change a location, the history gets updated. Thus, I'd like to have the ability to delete history by saying "delete all sites whose URL contains Google".
I have the ability to write such a program, but I haven't been able to find out where the history file is kept. Can anyone help with this location?
Or, is there a browser history cleanup app that already does what I want to do?
