I want to install USB cards in Power Macintosh G3 Desktop and Power Macintosh 6500/250 tower models.
Any online sources for such cards that will work for these two old Power Macintosh models?
For example, would either or both of the following Sonnet USB cards work in one or both of these models? Many thanks. Stepan - new member

Hello and welcome.

The link to MacFixit shows exactly which Macs that card is compatible with. If your Power Mac G3 Desktop is in the list, then you are good to go. If not, it will not work. The 6500 is definitely not supported.

If you let us know the exact model of your G3, we may be able to locate a compatible device. It will be very difficult to find anything compatible with the 6500, since it is running a PowerPC processor.

What are you trying to connect to these Macs via USB?
