Hi there!

Somehow, a large untouchable icon of Google Chrome got pinned to the top center of my Mac desktop. It's "on top" of any program that is open. I have no idea how this happened or how to get it off! Please help!

Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome.

A few questions:
-Which version of Mac OS X/macOS?
-Which version of Google Chrome?
-Can you upload a screenshot or photo of the issue, so we can see what we're dealing with?

OK, thanks.

That looks like the Google Chrome app icon. If you right-click on it, or hold the Control key and click, then select Get Info, you can look at the bottom to see what the Sharing & Permissions are set to. Let us know what that says, and we can go from there.

I tried, and it doesn't do anything. It's literally untouchable. When I tried to do that for the icon on the dock, it doesn't give those options.

Hmmm...that is strange.

-Have you tried a simple restart?
-Have you tried changing the Desktop image?
