Unmounted Hard-Drive

one partiiton of my hard-drive is showing "unmounted" and I am unable to retrieve my files in this partition. How can I repair?

Did the partition accidentally get ejected or did it have an error message of some sort before it became unmounted?

Try opening Disk Utility (in the Utilities folder in your applications folder). If it sees your unmounted partition you should be able to click on the unmounted partition and click the "Open" button on the toolbar at the top (second from the right).

If you know what disk it is try mount /dev/disk /Users/userName/blankFolder
