I'm having a problem getting my desktop trash folder to empty. Whether I click on trash can or use the menu, if I request "Secure empty trash", I get a notice saying:
"Some items are locked. Do you want to empty all the items, or just the unlocked ones?"
Regardless of which choice I make, I get a pop up progress indicator.
This lasts only about three or four seconds, then disappears.
Either it will count down a few items or none at all.
But once it disappears, the action discontinues.
If I check later, no further items have been disposed of.
Anyone else have this problem? A fix?

4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
