The page that allows you to choose your backup drive has SEVERAL DRIVES SHOWING. AT THIS POINT I WOULD LIKE TO START OVER, ALL EXTERNAL DRIVES
GONE AND START OVER

Hello and welcome.

You can start fresh by simply opening the Time Machine preference pane, click Select Disk... and remove all of the old drives. Then, connect the drive you wnat to use, slet it to designate it as your Time Machine disk, and initiate the foirst backup.

See if that works for you.
