"The computer was restarted after Mac OS X quit unexpectedly"

This morning I went to turn on my mac, and the screen went dim and there was a prompt telling me to restart my computer. Which I did. After that, I waited for it to turn on again and as soon as it got to the desktop, have the screen went dim and a prompt saying ""The computer was restarted after Mac OS X quit unexpectedly - Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple" shows up except, the screen is frozen and I can't choose an option nor can I move the pointer.

I'm stuck, no matter what I try I can't seem to get this to start up again.
I've had this macbook for less than two months!


If anyone knows why this occurred or what I can do
please please please let me know!
I'm seriously about to hit my head on the desk
