Terminal is opening with minimal window

It is not possible to use Terminal om my iMac because it only opens a tiny window (25*30 pixels) contaning the red bubble at the upper left corner of the window.
I am not able to resize this window in any way.
There is no help in deleting the preference file either.

Can sombody help me

Can you let me know what version of OS X you are running...

Try running this AppleScript and let me know what happens...

Open the AppleScript "Set window size" in a new Script Editor window.

Have you changed any fonts recently ?

Try re-enabling Monaco font in FontBook and re-set Monaco as Terminal font in terminal preferences panel...

This may help.

Thank you for your excellent information.
I am using OSX 10.4.3

Re-enabling Monaco did work well. I got a small window but it was big enough to allow manual resizing. The script does not work before enabling Monaco.
