Hi Everyone,
This problem is similar to Bandsman1's issue, only it's not just browsers that are effected. When I open my MBP and click on anything (email, browser, other files...), it takes a minimum of five minutes for the system to respond. The screen immediately shows the last screen I was using, but just refuses to load anything else for way too long. I'm running Mohave 10.14.6 on a 13" mid-2012 MBP with all other software up to date. I tried installing Catalina when it first came out and had miserable luck with it, so I reinstalled Mohave and have been happy with it. I've tried First Aid in Disk Utility, and Avast is loaded and active. This is very frustrating. Can anyone help, please? Thanks! I should add here that when the system is up and actually running, it's as fast as it's ever been. I have a 1TB main drive that is 3/4 empty.
