Strange problem with footstep sounds when certain keys are hit

Hi, I've had this issue with my macbook for some time now.

Whenever I hit the arrow keys and WASD keys, my computer makes odd footstep noises into the speakers or attached headphones. Additionally, after a while, they all stop and very loud explosion sounds start looping for about 10 seconds, then stop.

I've tried to look for the process of this problem to kill it, but I can't seem to find it in the activity monitor. Any help is great. Thanks.
