Stealth program or virus?

Hi,

I have been ignoring a very strange thing for a long time now, but I really want to sort it.

My trash and archive folders are always full of multiple copies of emails I have written but not trashed as well as ones I have put there. The copies are seemingly being replicated as i write as each one contains more words than the last.

When I delete something from my junk or archive folders mail activity shows hundreds of incoming messages.

So, as you can tell I'm pretty hopeless with computers, but I can follow instructions.

If there is anyone who knows what I should do please help me.
