Sound driver not found

Hi, I'm new to macs and have just run software update and now my mac mini tells me it cant find Core Audio sound driver (-10202) when I open iTunes or garage band. I'm running Mac OS x with a 1. 66 ghz intel proccesor with 1 gb ram. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

According to Apple, occasionally the user permissions associated with files or applications become damaged, which can prevent a file or application from working as it should. See this article. So, you might want to try to run Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility). Open the application, select the mounted volume for your hard drive and click "repair disk permissions."
