(Solved) 10.4.11 to 10.5.1 help

i bought a new all in one printer and it requires 10.5.or higher . I go to the software up dates and it tell's me that all up dates are up to date .I go to up date to 10.5.1 , it up dates and when i go to install ,it tells me that "this system requires 10.5." thats what i am installing !!!!!

bwhitaker, what is the Mac OS Version that you have? Look for the  in the upper left of the menubar and click on the apple icon. Then scroll down and select "About this Mac".

In the next window you will see the relevant information I need.

10.4.11-------processor. duel 800 MHz Power PC G4 .2MB L3 cache per processor-------- memory. 1.5 SDRAM---- start up disk mac HD

Are you trying to update from Tiger to Leopard ... do you have the Leopard Full Retail disc? I may be reading your post incorrectly, but you can't upgrade from Tiger to Leopard using Software Update ...

it turns out that my system only goes to 10.5.11 not any further. went and got a printer that matches up to 10.4.11. i am good to go now thanks any way
